|Abstract: ||The aim of this study is to investigate the incidence and distribution of lung cancer in Taiwan, and to explore the relationship among the five dangerous factors such as thyroid, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes mellitus and depression. In this study, the Taiwan National Health Insurance Database as the basic source of the information and the national outpatient data are used to find out the lung cancer patients. After combining with the serial facts of the thyroid, high blood pressure, high blood lipids, diabetes and depression, statistical methods is adopted to calculate the risk values of lung cancer patients regarding thyroid, high blood pressure, high blood lipids, diabetes, and depression, respectively.
Based on the data of Taiwan's National Health Insurance Database from 2004 to 2013 as the studied sample, calculate statistically for the risk relationship between the lung cancer patients and thyroid, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes mellitus and depression. There is an interesting phenomenon that people suffered from diabetes and suffered from lung cancer in the same time are very few. It is very worthy of further exploration of the problem. If you can find the key evidence to prove that the diabetes drugs can restrain the lung cancer, it would be helpful for the human health in prevention from the disease.
