Abstract: Since its establishment, the Taichung City Government Fire Department
still has several unresolved issues to date. This paper aims to determine
the basic-level colleagues’ leisure participation, habits, and types of
family conflicts and then find how they’re correlated and complementary.
Thus, this study distributed questionnaires among the 7th and 8th teams in
the Taichung City Government Fire Department and collected back 215
valid questionnaires to research the answers. After analyzing the data
based on descriptive statistics, t-test, and ANOVA.
The paper arrived at the following conclusions and recommendations:
    1. To lessen family conflicts caused by the chosen leisure activities,
leisure activities such as mass media and social services must be
avoided; On the contrary, choosing cultural leisure activities would
    help lessen family conflicts.
    2. To suggest that Taichung City Government Fire Department must
increase manpower to release the burden of firefighter and should
focus on increasing vacation days as its future goal to reduce the
    family conflict.
