This study primarily aimed at investigating the improvement of interactive whiteboard (IWB) in English picture book teaching upon senior class kindergarten kids, in terms of learning achievement and learning attitude. This research was to analyze the differences of using IWB to teach English picture book and using traditional way to teach English picture book.
The subjects of this study were two classes of senior class kids from a private kindergarten school in Taichung. The control group was taught in a traditional manner, the instructional materials include flash-card, picture book of Lucky and some other hand made materials for alphabet. In experimental group, the instructional materials include on-line video for alphabet and its bundle interactive e-book, Lucky. In addition, the above materials were implemented in IWB platform.
After running a statistical procedure for 3 monthes of observation, this study had the following conclusions:
1.IWB-integrated English picture book teaching made a significant difference upon learning attitude in experimental group
2.There is no significant difference between experimental group and control group in learning achievement.
Finally, based on the findings, the researcher also provides recommendations for future research.
