Abstract: AbstractA variety of sports injuries can be happened during the sport event. Theoccurrence of sport injuries is related to athletic training, sport types and techniques, sports training quality, sports environment and self conditions. Injury can becategorized into types of injuries, accidental factors, and human factors. This studyhopes to explore the causes of injuries for the tug of war athletes, and to discusswhether the current status of the tug of war athletes have the inference on athletes’withdraw internally (consciousness and motivation) or externally (coaches andfamily).Questionnaire was conducted with northern region and national region tug of warathletes. Situational analysis was used to understand the causes of athletes’ sportsinjuries. The results have shown that the loss of players is related to conscious level, motivation level, fatigue level, and damage levels, which are considered as internalfactors. External factors are coach level, family level, and corporate level.Sports injuries can influence the players’ training and practice. Increasedrecurrence of their previous wound is also the reason why the players quit the team. Itis suggested that the coaches should pay more attention to their players’ conditionsand keep a history record of the players’ sports injuries for a protective measure in thefuture. Keywords: tug-of-war, sports injuries, situational analysis, loss of players
