Front desk clerks are the first line staffs of a hotel, who catch the hotel guests? eyes by gusts? arrivaing. Therefore, front desk clerk?s performance is one of the important factors in effecting hotel image. Hotel front desk clerks? performance and attitude can be guided by training, thus, the importance of the training program is the focus of this study. Through the modified Delphi technique, the hotel training programs, relative documentation, and opinions of some senior hotel front desk clerks were collated. The importances of front desk clerks? training program content were prioritized for tourist hotel in Taiwan. Tourist hotel front desk clerks? training program was be calssified into five categories, 21 sub-categories and 82 training items. The experts reached consensus on all the five main categories and all above priority. This is about the same as the service function mentioned in documentation, and also similar to many tourist hotel training program/working instruction. Among them, professional knowledge and work skill is the priority of these categories, should be included in the top priority of the front desk clerks? training program. The last important training will be language ability as language ability is a self training course which should be equipped before getting the job.
