    摘要: Whenever inferior packaged food product is found, we should trace back to the entire process of producing and distributing food, because problems can happen in any procedure and at every level involved. Therefore, we introduce bar code tracking system to facilitate businesses controlling all aspects of production and distribution process and to find the root of the problems. The system can also provide sufficient information to assist managers in executing crisis management which is able to help them make the right decisions in the shortest period of time and thus minimize the impact yielded by the crisis.
    To inquire product information based on its serial number, we need to put bar coded serial number on the product. By reading the codes from the bar code readers at each controlling point of production, quality control, packaging, storage, loading, and unloading, the codes can be saved to every controlling point’s database. We then integrate all databases and design a bar coded serial number database, through which it can provide managers, dealers and retailers with complete information such as operation time and workers’ names of each bar code during each procedure; meanwhile, retailers can track portal sites through bar codes and search bar code information online. Accordingly, we provide the bar code database for managers to help them make decisions and aid them in the reference for crisis management. Finally, by virtue of connecting with ERP system, managers can obtain further bar code information to follow up the suppliers for analyzing the cause of abnormal food quality.
