    Title: The Case Studies of Innovative Sport Biomechanical Device Development

    Abstract: During the “12th Five-Year Plan” with the huge financial investment of the Chinese government, the medical equipment industry has been making a significant achievement in recent decades. It is a systematic approach to strengthen the nation’s capacity of developing novel biomechanical devices to meet the need of biomedical research and healthcare. After the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, there has been an increasing need for the development of biomechanical devices to facilitate the training of professional athletes. To address this significant need, we have been developing several novel devices. We have developed a triaxial force transducer based on the resistor technology for insole mounting of the transducers such that reliable data can be obtained. The triaxial force transducers can be used for both of sport and diabetic shoes to investigate the contact pressures and shear stresses simultaneously between the plantar surface of the foot and shoes.
