    Abstract: In thispaper afacial featurelocating method is proposed to match images of infants with deformational plagiocephaly.An initialpositionis obtained by therotation withthe fine registration of an Iterative Closest Point (ICP)algorithm.The features of 3D point clouds of an infant's cranium can be captured bylocal featureanalysis andK-meansclassificationalgorithm. The 3D images of infants with asymmetric cranium can then be alignedto the same pose.We use the mirror head model obtainedfromthesagittalplane for the measurement ofasymmetry.Numerical dataof the cranial volumecan be reviewed by a pediatrician to adjust the treatment plan. It can be also demon-strated to the parents toindicatethe treatment pro-gress.
