The purpose of this study was to resolve the problems in the dance club of my school. Carried out by action research method, this study was aimed to explore the teaching effects, student participation and experience in the Sport Education Model (SEM) during the dancesport courses in the club. The problems, solutions and reflections that instructors had during the program were also discussed. The participants were 18 students from the dance club of an elementary school in Pingtung City. They received 16 periods of courses in the SEM, each of which lasts 50 minutes. In qualitative research methods, the interviews, anecdotal recording, teacher’s teaching diary,students’working sheets and learning reflection sheets were gathered to examine, analyze and explore the SEM. The conclusions were as follows: 1. In the SEM,the dance club students had better learning effectiveness and also showed improvement in cognitive, affective and psychomotor domains. 2. In the SEM, students had great participation and good learning experience. 3.In the dance club, instructors solved the problems successfully in the SEM. 4. Instructors promoted self-reflection and gained professional growth in action research.
